The continent of Lysithea

In every aspect of MMO a player is dealing with navigation, discovery and exploration. It is one of the most challenging, important and exciting aspects in this type of gaming; to find and discover assets, quests and overall to try and understand the dynamics of the environment. At Epos Studios we’ve been spending many hours to discuss, design and implement content at the right location for the right purposes. How things should look like, how far they should be and why.

Continent of LysitheaThe story of Navaria is quite complex one. It includes not only elements of ancient history, world creation, deities and the origin of races but also geopolitical views between realms and rivalry between kingdoms through a faction system. We’ve been carefully mapping the needs of level and adventure balancing in combination with factions, quests and other content to make this as exciting and challenging as possible. After all, many players love to discover new things, explore the complex yet intriguing architecture of a dungeon or a major city such as Wynterford; home to the human race of Bolath.

Large intercontinental ships are bringing every week news from afar, triggering new quests and bringing other dynamic quests to the table. While explorational trade skills and craftmanship add this extra spice to the whole environment, the team has also been working to enhance elements that will excite the Navaria community and do its best to provide features and content that sparkles every gamer’s imagination for roleplay and adventure.

With that said, it has been some very fulfilling and educative months to say the least in order to piece together all these aspects in our MMO. As of writing moment we have a new concept artist that is ready to deliver all these ideas represented visually to give our designers further inspiration with this content as part of our development processes.
